Delay Compensation issues internal Dolby Atmos Renderer
Whenever I'm trying to bounce a project in Atmos using the internal renderer, it seems that all objects (thus not the bed tracks) are not latency compensated.
Weirdly enough this only occurs in the export as when playing it in the project file, everything seems to be well in sync. When using my Atmos RMU, everything runs in sync as well, but it would be nice not needing the RMU on lighter projects. Note that I'm rendering in real-time due to outboard gear. Running the project at 96k with a buffer of 1024 as advised and using PT 2024.3.0 Anyone else running into these issues? |

Re: Delay Compensation issues internal Dolby Atmos Renderer
Yes! I discovered last night with a simple test session using the internal renderer, PT Studio 2024.6 on Ventura in Silicon mode, no plugins save a Click. Panning the click in the center with the Center value at 0, there was an audible delay between the L and R. Turning off ADC solved the delay!
I switched to the external renderer and that also seemed to have solved the issue. I haven't bounced anything yet. I might try tonight to see if I can reproduce the issue. |

Re: Delay Compensation issues internal Dolby Atmos Renderer
So, it's been a hot minute since my last post. I went down the rabbit hole of reinstalling my OS and rebuilding the machine. Opening my original session produced the same delay issues I had before.
I rebuilt a simple Atmos session from scratch to include a click track routed through several OBED busses plus effects. I'm unable to reproduce the delay issue. I've also reopened previous Atmos sessions with the same success. So, I'm suspecting a corrupt session document. I've also tried Importing Session Data into a clean session and got even weirder funkiness. I'm back to being happy working with clean sessions. |
