Annoying Update automatically window.
I am on 10.8.5 and I have the latest version of Pro Tools 10 installed (10.3.8). I also have Pro Tools 11.1.1 installed on my machine and I don't want to go to 11.1.2 because of bugs I have heard about.
Every time I launch Pro Tools 10, I get the software update running and informing me that I have an update available. I have the "Do not check for updates automatically" checkbox checked, but it still launches every time I launch Pro Tools 10. It is annoying because their isn't an option on the window to just cancel, instead, I have to click details to close the window which launches my browser and etc. Has anybody had this problem and found a way to fix it? Thanks.

Re: Annoying Update automatically window.
Same here!
I did a fresh 10.8.5 install yesterday - along with the latest versions of HD10 and HD11. HD10 keeps checking for updates on initiation, regardless of how the checkbox is. |

Re: Annoying Update automatically window.
Not sure how to fix this, but...
You can safely remove this file: SoftwareUpdater.app From this location: /Applications/Avid/Pro Tools/ Just move it to a different location and see if that resolves the issue. If it does, then you can delete it entirely from your system. If you subscribe to the Technical Alerts forum (either by RSS feed or forum subscribe), then you will still be notified whenever a newer version of Pro Tools is available. |

Re: Annoying Update automatically window.
I moved both of the plug-ins.
One found: /Applications/Avid/Pro Tools/ The other found: /Applications/Pro Tools/Contents/Applications/ (This one you get to by right clicking on the Pro Tools Application and choosing "Show Package Contents") After I moved both of these to the desktop, it was still launching at start-up. However, once I put them in the Trash, it fixed the problem.

Re: Annoying Update automatically window.
I used to have exactly the same problem, there is actually a tutorial in the help browser which explains everything you guys have mentioned ... Delete the app and clean out your trash 😇
