Default Importing multiple takes to one audio track creating playlists

I just received a Logic Session that I need to migrate to PT10. There are multiple takes of many tracks. I would love to import the takes to one track in a way that creates playlists for each track containg all of the takes for each track automatically.

Is there an easy way to do this without create a new playlist for each track and drag the clips manually?

Here's hoping,

Steve

I would love to know that as well. So far it looks like that's not possible.

Wink Re: Importing multiple takes to one audio track creating playlists

This is a very interesting question and should be submitted as an idea but I figured out a cool work around. I do use HD. Hopefully that doesn't matter.

1. Drag the files of the bass track, for example, right on the edit window from whatever drive folder.
2. It creates tracks and they are selected.
3. right click over the top CLIP-they should still be selected.
4. go to "matching alternates" and select submenu item "Expand alternates to new playlists"
5. The first track will now have all the tracks in it's playlist.
6. Carefully unselect that top track that has the new playlist. On a pc (control click).
7. Right click over the selected tracks that you don't need anymore and delete. You should have what you need.

Of course these files have to have a common start time.
I think with practice, it would be faster and more organized than trying to manually drag each clip.
I had a hunch that the matching alternates thing would be useful.
