Pencil tool turns into mouse pointer tool when drawing

Has anyone else had this problem?

As soon as i start to manually draw automation, the pencil tool changes to a mouse pointer tool. It makes drawing automation harder.

Besides my tech info below, I have a wacom tablet installed and connected, although I never use it.

I reckon from the lack of answers that this has been covered before, or that I am experiencing a ghost in my machine? d;-)

Yep.. this happens on my setup too. I'm on 8.0.3 LE, OSX 10.5.8

I kind of like it.. it doesn't seem to get in the way as much as the pencil icon.

Opposite experience here. Drawing automation has been my profession since 2006 , but I´ve found it much harder to do it accurate since when this bug appeared.

Perhaps it is a specific 8.0.3 LE + OSX 10.5.8 issue?
