Default Mac Pro with Magma PE6R4

Hi All, I am about to get a new Mac Pro and have a HD5 Accel PCI, can anyone confirm there is NO latency etc with this chassis? I know the Mac will see it as all PCIe, is it near enough exactly the same as having it all inside the box?

Also because Pro Tools sees the cards as inside the box due to PCIe should I be safe with the HD5 and Chassis for future PT HD updates (I am sure they are going to dump standard PCI very soon)

thanks in advance for help

Haven't had a chance to really push my system to the max track count since getting my Mac Pro, but I am running an HD5 with the same Magma chassis and have had zero issue (knock woodx1000 ). I've had 120+ track, 5.1 sessions running off a single internal SATA with Mojo Picture, PT 8.0.1, ADC, and a ton of Plug-ins, and it's been very very smooth.

I have an HD3 Accel, but I regularly push over 80-tracks live through a Venue console into PTHD for live TV----and mix over 120-tracks with NO issues, hangups, lockups, anything. You're fine....

No problems at all with the chassis, a Mac Pro 8 Core and HD 6 here either.

...0 latency / 0 problems - a little pricey but well worth not having a single problem, it runs as if the cards were in the Mac Pro itself. I'm running a fully loaded HD 6 system.

The lowest buffer setting I can do with mine is 64 samples.
I would not consider that a lot of latency.
A lot of people get confused with high latency with expansions chassis was do to old slow "Digidesign Expansion Chassis HD" none of the Magma chassis had those problems of the Digi Exp HD
