Default Adding MULTIPLE audio files to ONE TRACK

Lets say you have multiple audio files, be it a series of drum samples or vocal takes etc... you want to quickly get them on ONE track. How would you do this? Dragging a bunch of highlighted files to a track does nothing. Importing them puts them on seperate tracks. Any ideas?

In the Regions Menu, select the drop order you want (top to bottom, left to right) and then drag from the bin. Only downside is, in Spot Mode, only the first region is spotted and the rest are placed after. Not sure why they did it this way but maybe it'll get fixed at some point.

Set the timeline drop order to "Left to right" (region list menu box), select all regions, and drag them to a track.

are all of these 7.x features? I'm on 6.9 (upgrading today) and still can't drag from the regions bin to get files on one track.

Yes, it was part of PT7.

(I knew I saved those "what's new" docs for some reason)
