Default Session must be on audio record volume error

So, I open my Pro Tools LE 6.9 on my mac PowerbookG4.
When I click NEW SESSION, and then press OK, I get a message that says: "session must be one audio record volume" I press OK on the message, and it goes back to the NEW SESSION diaglog box.

I assume audio record volume means a device, such as my hard drive, that can record audio files. I don't understand why I cannot on my laptop.

HELP!!!
