Hi karaho,

i think the best way to go with machine control is to use Keyspan´s USB to serial adapter. Works for us.
G3 stealthport was not supported by digi. the same with gport.

my 2 cent

regards

Jochen

I have the same issue .. OSx10.3.4, PT6.4.1cs2, V1 ... i did see the compatability docs reccommends the Keyspan USB-Serial adapter .. and no mention of gport or stealth(which i use) ... I'll have to try those as they are pretty cheap .. In the meantime however I notice that if in the Prefs>Mach Ctl> you deselect "Machine follows edit insertion/scrub" .. the system responds a lot better ... there are obvious drawbacks to this but its sometimes better than the hand moving faster than "the brain"

Get a Keyspan USA-28x USB-->Serial adapter for use with MachineControl. I use it with a V1, and it works like a dream, especially with Machine Follows Edit/Insertion enabled.

My system is as follows:

OS X v10.3.4
PT v6.4.1cs2
SYNC I/O
888|24
MIX Core, MIX Farm, DSP Farm

One thing you have to watch out for is a nasty bug with the Stop at Shuttle Speed Zero preference. If you are working with the V1, and all of the sudden it becomes unresponsive, check if that preference is on. Chances are it is. It's a magical bug where Stop at Shuttle Speed Zero turns on without the user turning it on.

Good luck!

The Keyspan will fix your problem.

I'm using 933MHz and Dual 1.25GHz machines.
