Default Dolby Atmos Internal Renderer Incorrect Playback on Monitors

I've just upgraded to 2023.12 Ultimate as I want to use the internal renderer.

I normally monitor in a 5.1 setup.

When I playback, the Centre channel is paying in the right monitor, the right channel is playing in the centre monitor and there is no signal at all in the surround monitors.

The internal renderer is receiving the correct playback info. I can see it's monitoring the centre channel correctly etc. So the problem appears to be on the output path from PT to my monitor setup.

If I switch to the external renderer all the channels playback in the correct monitors.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

I am running a MTRX studio with DADman on a 2019 Mac Pro.

Hi There!

Let me check on this and get back to you. For now, please try importing your session data on a new Session and see if the same issue occurs.

Have you checked the output path order in your IO setup? Without more information a good guess is you don’t have the order correct. Also, the internal renderer needs to see a 7.1.4 output. So, if you only have a 5.1 speaker setup, you’re going to need to properly downmix the 7.1.4 in DADMan or monitor the 5.1 re-render from the internal renderer. This all seems like operator error to me. Maybe post some pics of your IO setup and Monitor Profile in DADMAn.
