Ok, I see that OSX Sequoia is officially released by Apple. Is Avid going to stop pointing their finger at Apple and certifiy Carbon for OSX 15? I'd say a full OS release cycle is more than enough time for Avid to get it together.

Read back on the thread, especially the posts by Mark Corbin (the product manager). It is unlikely that Carbon will be certified for Sonoma because Apple stopped doing (that) work on Sonoma months ago and has been focused on Sequoia. The current aim has been to get Apple to incorporate the fixes into Sequoia and hopefully we will get a Sequoia-certified note for Carbon once there's a Sequoia-compatible version of PT.

Why no Pinot Noir??? I love a good Pinot...

Sequoia is looking promising. There are some outstanding issues, but we'll be reviewing these soon to decide if any are blockers or if we can message any possible pit falls, for Carbon as and Pro Tools.

Kerry is correct as well, we won't be able to qualify Sonoma because Apple wasn't able to fix their issues. Carbon will work on Sonoma, however it's prone to sample drop outs. We also need to have a Sequoia qualified version of Pro Tools... but the goal is to have them be qualified at the same time.

Hey all

Just posted this on another thread, but it's also relevant for this one.

We were not able to qualify Sonoma due to the drop out issue and performance issues.

However, we are able to qualify Carbon using Audio Midi Setup with Sequioa as of today with the release of Pro Tools 24.10.

Carbon Central, either with a single Carbon of with Pres, is NOT qualified with Sequoia.
There are multiple Apple bugs but their resolution is looking positive.

You can check this KB for known issues and work arounds. It will also be updated once we are able to qualify Carbon Central.
