M1 Silicon MacPro Monterey and T-Tap issues

Hi all -

I resolved why some projects were working and some were not: Using T-Tap which has a max res of 1920x1080, Setting the resolution on the video track to a res higher than 1920 x 1080 results in black / no video.

At this time I'm happy to conclude:

T-Tap is working with the following config

- Ventura 13.6.6
- Pro Tools 2024.3.1
- Apple Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter dongle
- AJA driver v17 download from T-Tap Pro page


I'll stay with it for now, as I have the requisite adapter chains and it's working. In the event it doesn't make the jump to the next OS, I'll go with the $125 blackmagic.

I just set up a rig with a M2 Studio Ultra which came with OS Sonoma 14.4.
T-Tap works here.

- Mac OS 14.4
- Pro Tools 2024.3.1

OG T-Tap working in Sonoma 14.5. Did I buy this box at the end of 2014? Really pleased with how long it's lasted.

Two more data points:

•Spoke to AJA at NAB. They think the original T-Tap is going to keep on working with macOS for some time to come.

•It's rocking on macOS 15.1 Sequoia with PT 24.10 right now. Big relief.

Yes, no problems and good performance with this config and the native Avid Video Engine:

Standard playback still functions well with the original TTAP and PT 2025.6 but nudging is busted.
