Default Horrible Build Quality on these units!

I get that the Artist Series is a "Budget Item," but even in that light, one could reasonably expect the fader caps to stay on during use!

8 out of 10 times, when I bank up and down my DAW's mixer, one of the fader caps comes flying off! I keep thinking "what if this happened in front of a client?" NOT GOOD!

So, it pains me to ask but, how do you guys get the fader caps to stay on these units? I don't want to try gluing them down, in case they need servicing. So, what kind of options would work on this problem?

I have "flying faders" but not in that way! eBay has some nice replacement caps. I don't think it's your actual fader, so some cheap replacement caps might be nice. I've even replaced them with Presonus ones that feel pretty good. Make sure to get "metalized" or "touch sensitive" caps.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't have much luck with finding metalized faders. I'd prefer to keep same silver finish. All I found so far was this https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...caps.&_sacat=0

These might server you better

Double check the size, but they should work out.

All my faders are on tight. Takes a lot of force to pry them off. Did you buy yours Artist series second hand? Are the fader caps physically broken where they attach? Has your unit been dropped in some way (or some else dropped it)?

I bought all of the units used. The MC I purchased from someone I knew. The 2 Mix & Transport I purchased through eBay. So, besides the MC Control, I can't vouch for anything.

They were all clean with normal signs of wear and they work as expected. 5 of the fader caps are loose (2 on each mix and fader number 4 on the MC). They don't seem particularly loose to the touch, but clearly they are loose when I'm banking tracks.

It LOOKS like they're only selling 1 cap. I'd need 20! The other adds showed a bag of 5 or 10 per their price. Also, I don't know what the size of these faders are. How do you tell?

At one point these were put on backwards. All you have to do is reverse them, so the teeth line up with the holes.

First choose Surface size. Then put in 20 pcs of caps underneath where it says quantity ... that box will be greyed out until you choose size.
