Default Fast Track Ultra and Windows 10

I just upgraded to Win10. I have a Fast Track Ultra that worked perfectly under Win7. However, under Win10, the system will not recognize input at any sample rate over 44100. Apparently, this is a sufficiently common problem that it's been reported by others.

Windows Support's suggestion was to install in compatibility mode for Win7 o Win8 and disable other sound devices. I tried all of this, but still no joy.

Will Avid be releasing a compatible driver? Is there a work around for this?

Thanks.

The FTU should be getting support until 2018, so in my opinion it should get driver updates:

But keep in mind that at this time Windows 10 is not qualified for either Pro Tools or and Avid devices. http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...-Avid-Products (that said, I'm working fine with Win 10)

Default Re: Fast Track Ultra and Windows 10

Here's how I got my Fast Track Ultra to work under Windows 10:

In the BIOS of the computer, disable on-board Realtek HD Audio (or, if you have an add-on card, don't use it).

In Services, disable all Realtek Audio services.

After that, my Fast Track Ultra worked fine. Note that, to set the bit-depth and sample rate, you must do it in the Fast Track Ultra app in the Control Panel -- you will not be able to do it in the Sound app in control panel.

Could you possibly post a step by step process on how you were able to get your fast track ultra working with Windows 10. I would greatly appreciate it.
