Default Pro Tools displaying incorrect wave form / iZotope RX8

I opened a 44.1 kHz / 24 bit session and imported a 44.1 kHz / 24 bit file, a song that I re-sampled from 48k with iZotope RX8 for CD master. (The original masters are 48k). The waveform of the 44.1 k file (created by RX8) is totally incorrect at some points. Let me explain:

for better understanding, let's call

the RX8 converted file from originally 48k to -> 44.1k "file A"
and
the original master 48k file "file B"

I loaded file A (44.1) into the 44 PT session and also file B, so that PT had to convert file B it into 44. I wanted to see what the conversion in PT does to the file. I was shocked, because file A displayed absolutely strange waveforms. Since I used the "post limiter" option in RX8 for creating file A, I thought it had processed the file a lot when converting to 44. Listening A/B in Pt I could not hear a difference between file A und B. Null testing against each other gave perfect silence. I never encountered PT showing incorrect wave forms. Any idea where that comes from?

See attached, the dynamics look different, but sound the same and null:

I tested with another song (same procedure as above, original was mastered in 48k). The song ends with silence / reverb tail. The RX8 converted file shows absolutely incorrect waveforms, both tracks in PT sound the same (as the one below, file B, which is showing the correct waveform): see attached

any ideas?

Recalculate waveforms and see if that corrects it.
