Default Digi ReWire problems with WavesTune

Hey guys,

This topic has been posted before but none of those topics have given me a solution.

I have WavesTune and I'd like to use it on ProTools LE 8.0.3. I'm aware that you must run the Rewire plug-in in an AUX track then go to the audio track you wish to run waves on and it should work.

My problem, like many have had, is finding the rewire plug-in. I have just gone to propeller head and downloaded the most recent version of "Re-Wire" and installed it to my Mac's HD. That still has not solved the problem. Rewire does not appear anywhere!

I don't own Reason and I know that's often associated with Rewire. Is Reason a requirement? Or should I be able to run this no problem? There is a Digirewire.dpm in my plug-ins folder. I believe the propeller head update installed to it's own folder and I can't find a separate .dpm for it so am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated. thank you!

Jon =)

I use Waves Tune .. among other Waves products. I don't remember when the change was but you no longer need to use the rewire plugin. Im on Version 7 - definitely not needed there .. just load up tune and go...

[edit] oh I just remembered.. I think if you upgraded from version to version you could get a message that it couldn't find the rewire plugin, but it would work anyway without it. Remove the old Kruft to get rid of that message.

If you need to use rewire, it's specifically Waves rewire, it's installed when you installed Tune, and I believe it's actually located under "instruments", strangely enough.

thanks for the responses guys!

I am in fact on Waves V7. It's the first version I have installed. When I open the plugin it says that the Rewire link could not be established on the top. I have checked in the instruments for Waves Rewire but cannot find it. Is there somewhere where I can download that on its own?
