Default Wordclock?

if the master clock is digidesign wordclock (internal) my emu 6400ultra is clocking from ADAT and the spdif output from the ADAT bridge is connected to the DAT spdif in.....will the DAT receive clock automatically or will I have to set the dat player to do this also can any digital cable send and recieve wordclock ie spdif?

Woah,

Maybe you're passing clock, and maybe not. If everything is taking a digital sync, then it should pass the clock on to the next device, but who knows? Why are you concerned about this?

To answer your other question, Wordclock can be translated over BNC cables, and is outputed from devices like a Digi VSD, USD or Aardvark Sync. I use a blackburst generator to drive my VSD to generate Superclock for the 888. Anyone know if I'm jumping through hoops unnecessarily or is the VSD really a better clock?
