Did some looking at things today and haven't yet been able to find the dark mode code lines to change. What it seems is the track color is being imposed on the MIDI editor screen and when 2 or more tracks are selected it doesn't know what to display and picks something generic.

That's unsurprising. I suspect there are big chunks of the codebase that are presently stuck together with chewing gum and need to be re-written (like the Event Operations Window and functions) for a cohesive and flexible UI. That kind of thing takes time to unravel, especially if other coding priorities are considered priorities.

It's not a darkmode thing, check my response to Kerry above. The palette slide for some unknown stupid coder reason literally inverts the colors on the piano roll if you go left of 50 on Timeline Brightness

Doubt you'll be able to access that from the txt file but if you figure it out lmk

honestly i'm already used to the slightly different shading
