Default A Universal Audio Plug In Has Been Disabled

I not only get this message at odd times, I can almost positively get it if I just leave the Mac for an hour and come back. I sit down and there it is...the error message, without even having hit play.

Then I quit PT, relaunch and often I get the "LOADING TRACKS" (can't remember what its called) message, and invariably one of the tracks stalls and hangs the progress bar. If I force quit, the whole Mac goes black and it's restart time.

I've had weirdness at times with UA in Cubase Pro, definitely in Reaper, and I'm to the point where I'm ready to dump the UAD stuff entirely.

Any ideas?

Which UA plugin is the culprit ? All of them, or a specific one ?
What UA hardware are you using ?

I work off of a template, which has the Ampex in it, the Lex reverb and EMT 140.

I have a few other plugs as a default but they are not UAD.

Just using a little Apollo Solo right now, but it happened on the Apollo Twin I had as well. I guess that's the next step...removing them until ready to mix....

Leave them in your template, but deactivated.

Also, for the Ampex, try dragging whatever track has it on it, to be the left most/first track in the session. PT loads left to right and doing this gets the ATR loaded first. Might help.

Those are 3 of the most resource-hungry plugins in all of the UA arsenal. If you only have a solo, you could well be running out of processing power.
What does your UAD meter show?

I was thinking the same thing.
He could also make sure the Mac has sleep mode disabled.

I don't think the Solo even has any plugin processing power. The only plugins you could use with it alone would have to be part of Spark.

and are the solo & satellite correctly detected and available in the UAD Control Panel/System Info ?
What about posting for us a screenshot of what's going on when the session is open ? . . . like this ?

“I have a UAD Satellite as well...”
Precisely why we pester people for as much information as possible from the outset. The more you tell us about your rig in your first post, the quicker we can help figure out what’s up. (I’d still be interested to see what your UAD meter says.)
