Default No Sound from ASIO4ALL v2. Need help or another option.

I am very new and unfamiliar with Pro Tools. I purchased Pro Tools 10 a week ago. I hardly got it to operate but i stumbled upon a forum explaining "just download ASIO4ALL" and the error hardware message will allow things to run. Well that worked, but there is no sound and I am very frustrated.Obviously ASIO4ALL v2 is garbage. How can I get a different hardware or allow sound off of ASIO? I am operating on Windows 7.

asio4all is far from garbage when set-up properly. you will need to install WDM drivers for your interface, then go to asio4all control panel and select your interface. inside protools select asio4all from your hardware setup dropdown... and then you're good to go.

What are you trying to use as an interface?

This is what worked for me to get sound in Pro Tools 10 after installing ASIO4ALL. How to enable wave out recording in vista/win 7.
