I've given up worrying about this, as it requires every plugin you have to be native as well. There is no hurry if things are stable and I'll upgrade the computer if I need more power

I feel the same way. I read somewhere that Avid was ok with Pro Tools performance through rosetta for now. As long as I can work, I’m good.

Is anyone using Custom Shuttle Lock speeds successfully in this release or with 2022.05?

I find out something interesting.
Some new Silicon ready Plug Ins like Sonnox (Inflator, Limiter) and UAD are still U2B on AAX when you read them with "ArchiCheckt"
Maybe there is something coming soon?!?

I'm also having a new and extremely annoying MIDI issue after updating to 2022.6 today that seems related. Sometimes when I double click and create a new MIDI note, I'm unable to actually select that note to click it and drag it around. I can use the trimmer tool to shorten or lengthen the note, but I can't select it with the grabber tool, and the i-beam tool just goes right over it. Is anyone else getting this?

Yes works fine. Were you in that other thread about it? Could be another arbitrary Ultimate-only feature.

As I understand it, there are ways to structure plugins under a Native DAW such that the M1 plugs operate natively while the non-native plugs do not. I don't believe it's a case of the entire plugin folder being dumbed-down to the architecture of the weakest link.

Assuming this is correct, AND that Avid pursues this type of design, maybe there's hope. The alternative is grim because I'll *never* get Native versions of everything I use.

A year ago, I predicted a 2022.12 Native release at the earliest and I'm still sticking to that - maybe even a bit more pessimistic at this point.

I am having the same problem and even worse, if you quantize multiple times, it duplicates the notes to the new position. But yeah, after a quantize or two (with the new or old methods) you can not move or select the notes.

Too bad. I was liking the list of bug fixes, but this new bug is a deal breaker for me. I'll be sticking to 2022.5 for now.

It's never been restricted to Ultimate before and in my conversation with support they never suggested that might be the reason it wasn't working.
