Corp, people have done this before and it’s really futile

Over the years it’s happened over and over again people get upset b/c avid is like a sphinx and they won’t tell you the future

If you need it buy it, if they release a new one 10 minutes after you bought the old one, don’t be upset ask yourself this “does it do what it says on the tin?”

If it does then be happy and go make music - if it doesn’t then ask Avid to make it right but don’t hold your breath b/c they move at a glacial pace.

If you really need an answer from avid, call them (ie don’t expect them to answer on a user forum) . They won’t however give you the answer your looking for, because quite simply they don’t know either....or haven’t planned for the future ect

If you need a HDX card buy it.
If you want a newer card, you simply have to wait....
you want an answer that the company hasn’t asked itself..... or answered internally
