Rack 002 THROUGH Hard Drive, then to iMac?
I had to connect my Rack 002 to my iMac by connnecting it via the firewire 400 to a port on my LaCie Hard Drive, then connect my LaCie HD to the iMac via the firewire 800 port for it to work. When connected straight to my iMac 400 firewire port, it has blown out 2 iMac firewire ports. Besides that problem, am I losing anything in connecting it this way? Will I lose speed, or ??? Anybody know?

Re: Rack 002 THROUGH Hard Drive, then to iMac?
You're not losing anything. You should daisy-chain in that order...Mac, Hard drive, 002.
Connecting a 002R to the i-Mac directly via a FW400 port should NOT blow out anything. I'd be concerned about that! MR
