Default renaming midi controllers in PT 7

Hi Guys,

I searched pretty thoroughly but couldnt find anything. Can you rename midi controllers on a midi track in PT 7? Specifically PTMP but I figured it would pertain to all PT 7. It just seems there must be a way so I'm not referring to "controller #105 everytime on my supernova to know its filter cutoff freq"......

No, there isn't, and yes it's rediculous.

What's worse is when using gear that doesn't follow GM standard of names leaving one to fly blind with generic controller numbers.

My three MIDI feature requests:
1) Patch Name editing from within Pro Tools
2) Controller name editing
3) MIDI time stamping compatible with third-party gear (eg. Emagic AMT8)

Phil

Im having a hard time with not being able to rename MIDI controllers too, so I thought I'd bring this one to the top of the forums, god forbid so that Digi might notice it. It is absolutely impossible to work with controllers in PT at the moment.
