You're going to need to be more specific about exactly which steps you're taking.
Do the files show up in 'Regions to Import'? Are they the same sample rate as the session? |

I go to File > Import > Audio. It opens the Audio Import window and I select the file to import (I've tried .wav, .mp3, .aif, etc) and click "Convert". The file goes to the "Regions to Import" box.
The button in the bottom left hand corner says "Open" (I've only ever seen this button say "Done" before. I click "Open" and nothing happens. Some were the same sample rate as the session and some were not. Thanks for your help. Edit: I forgot to add that nothing is imported. I can click and drag audio the same audio files from finder into the session though. |

Did you install I-tunes & Quicktime? I-tunes is the "ripping engine" for importing audio files from Cd's.

Hey sw rec,
Yes I have both and they are up-to-date to my knowledge. I'm not importing audio files from CD though, they're already on the harddrive. (I've tried using external HD and HD in my MacBook Pro) Thanks! |

Maybe this screenshot should help?
I never seen that "open" button before. And it does nothing when I click it. |

Spanglish,
I am having the same exact problem. Were you able to figure it out? And if so, how do I fix the problem? Thank you so much in advance. |

Spanglish - is the audio track you're trying to import possibly contain more than 2 tracks? The data seems to say 2, but the labeling of the file makes me question that.
Does the file open in Quicktime or iTunes? jb398446 - If you can give us more detail about what you're doing, we may be able to help you. |
