Hi everyone! This is my first post here, and I've tried to search for similar stuff on the forum and youtube, but everything I found is non applicable, so I'd like some insight from pro users to see if what I want to happen is even possible.
I've been on Logic for a while and recently considered moving back to PT, so I did a test project, but I'm having trouble with automation. I like to do stuff with just the mouse, and when editing there's a few behaviours I find inconvenient. In the example called "Auto A 1", I'd like to move everything up by the same amount (like trim automation would do), instead it ramps up and down ("Auto A 2"). Is there a way to just bump a whole section with edits up? In the "Auto B 1" example, why is there a new breakpoint (Auto B 2) instead of just bringing the start of the ramp up down with the previous level? I know I can just delete the new node, but it takes one extra step. Hopefully there are fixes for this stuff. In Logic you can grab and move nodes, lines and sections around and it's quite convenient. I've always heard PT automation is the most advanced, but I'm having trouble getting along with it. Thanks! you'll need to have a beginning and ending automation point. This can be done by hitting Command+Click on the beginning and ending of the track's automation line. Then you can hit Command+A to select all and nudge it a bit.

if you want the entire track to be raised or lowered use the trimmer tool at the end past *all* automation breakpoints. If you want to do just a section, go into trim mode and raise/lower the Volume Trim line.
