sync Teenage Engineering KO II
Hopefully somebody here can help me. Ive been trying all morning to sync my new groove machine by "Teenage Engineering" KO II (otherwise known as the EP 133) so that I can record beats that I've made on it into my DAW while synced so that it is recorded in time with Pro Tools. I have seen this demonstrated on other DAWS but cannot find anything on the topic for Pro Tools. I am using Pro Tools Light version so maybe this is not a possibility? I have already been to the MIDI input devices menu and checked the EP 133 slot... I feel like I am probably just missing one little thing on the transport or something. Also, I have already configured the KO II to send MIDI clock out... I went into this thinking it would be a relatively easy thing to set-up!! Am I missing something or do I need to upgrade my DAW? Thank you!

Re: sync Teenage Engineering KO II
Maybe this might be similar on the setup.

Re: sync Teenage Engineering KO II
ya, thats what I'm trying to do... Only I want KO II to be the master, so that when I hit play on the KO II it triggers the PT transport and also controls the tempo.

Re: sync Teenage Engineering KO II
Hey so I just tried setting the MIDI clock on the KO to “IN” (instead of “OUT”) just like the video showed and now it is synced with PT… Only PT is the master so when I hit play on the KO there is no response from PT but when I hit play on PT the KO plays in sync! I’m not sure but suspect I’ll need to adjust the tempo manually which is really no problem whatsoever… thanks A LOT for the tip!

Re: sync Teenage Engineering KO II
In the clocking, make PT the master.

Re: sync Teenage Engineering KO II
Seems PT doesnt sync to external clock at the moment, see my other post: https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?...=1#post2715302
If you want to report a case you can refer to the case ID in the post.

On the device, are you able to select it as the master clock?

Re: sync Teenage Engineering KO II
in the setup menu; i click on 'session' and there is no drop down menu under 'clock source' instead it says 'see control panel' ...ya it seems like its a bug.

You have no signature whatsoever. We have no idea what computer. Top Menu, go to setup tab, then hardware. or MIDI tab, then midi setup.
