Default Automating filter type in RX Voice Denoise causes CPU Spike

When automating filter type in RX Voice Denoise on a track, I reliably get a CPU spike, even on a very light session CPU wise. Does this happen for anyone else?

Thanks!

RX stuff tends to be a cpu muncher when used in PT in realtime. Usual remedy is to do it offline and then bring back into PT (at least for me).

Thanks for the reply. Looking at CPU I'm at about 12%, then when I switch automation from surgical to gentile (or the reverse) CPU hits 100% and stops with an error. It's just the switching, not the processing, that is causing the error.

Yeah I just tried here and it does exactly the same for what it's worth, though I've never tried automating it before.

Interesting! Thank you! I just ran into the exact same issue. I thought it was that one additional instance of RX7 Voice Denoise but yes, it's automating the filter type.

Can anyone say on what versions of RX this is happening? Was it fixed in RX9?

There was an update for several of the products in the last week or so. I never know unless I check the Portal App from izotope. Ozone 9 as well. The update said bug fixes.
Latest Update: 9.11.1
Released: December 22, 2021
