Why won't Bounce To Disk remember "Bounce Source" outputs?

It keeps defaulting to physical outputs 1-2 instead of the busses selected on the previous bounce, until about the 3rd or 4th bounce when it will suddenly remember the outputs you actually wanted.

New behaviour in 12.1, never happened in 11 or 12.0

Confirmed. I accidentally bounced a mix from a headphone send for a client the other day. Now I'm extra paranoid about it.

Indeed, the bounce source for me has been sort of a crapshoot, ever since PT9 I try to pay more attention these days. Then there was the time I got screwed up by tracks that were feeding a BUS that was curiously named exactly the same as my usual OUTPUT pair, so anything on the bus(which you could hear during playback) was missing from the bounced file
