The resolution of Pro Tools has absolute no bearing on the Avid Control. The A9+ has a screen resolution of 1900x1200 which is more than capable of making AC visually clear. Order one on Amazon and see for yourself. If you’re not happy with it, return it.

Also, will you be able to make use of higher refresh rates using avid control in terms of responsiveness or is it locked at 60 Hz anyways?

I was looking into the regular A9 because it's a great deal, not the +. I feel like if I spend somewhere close to the A9+, I'd rather get the iPad.

Or does the UI of Avid Control look the same / display the same amount of elements on 1024 x 768, 1340 x 800, 1920 x 1200 and let's say 2360 x 1640? I mean that can't be the case?

Anyone care to chime in?
Avid Control is written to scale. There is no optimal resolution.

Ah OK. Well there's such a wide variety of tablets I think most of us either look for someone here who's recommended a specific one or bite the bullet and try one blind. Sorry not much help.

Would you benefit from using a 120 Hz Tablet compared to a 60 Hz?

No. Also, not sure what you’re looking at but in the US the A9 is the smaller 8.5in tablet while the A9+ is the 11” tablet. The price difference is negligible and you shouldn’t opt for the smaller tablet.

Currently the US price for the A9+ is $149.00.

As I have I have said repeatedly, this is a valid tablet for AC.

It seems as though you’re not paying attention to what people are writing.

Gotcha, I'm just asking for people's experience. I guess I would've preferred to use the smaller tablet but I actually found the A9 to be a tad too small for Avid control. So I guess 10 inch is the sweetspot with a minimum resolution of Full HD.

So you're saying there's no better tactility and realism going from 60 Hz to 120 Hz with the faders and knobs? In gaming for example, higher refreshrates feel more real compared to lower ones in terms of fluidity, coming from playing lots of competitive shooters and I wondered whether the same thing is the case with higher refreshrate controls.

What frame rate are the Avid Conto animations locked at?

So you haven't tried any of the tablets recommended in this thread?

What do you expect Avid Control to do?
