Only 1 External HD=Audio+BFD...Journaling or not???

i have only one External Hard-Drive and i use it with my PowerbookG4(12"+1.25GB RAM) to record my audio tracks and PTLE 7.0 sessions

everything works great....

..but i installed BFD ,the program on the inner powerbook drive and the audio samples on the external drive... and on the FXPansion site they say:" ...use BFD audio samles on a not-journaled drive..."


but PTLE 7 ask to use only journaled AUDIO DRIVES..

what can i do? (besides buying a new external hard drive)

I use HFS+ Journalled drives without issue.

and a quick advice to reduce some CPU use of the BFD when playing my instrument tracks (written by pencil)

my powerbook G4 runs sometimes of juice to run them
