Reinstalling pro tools... am I forgetting anything?
I've been having all kinds of errors lately, so I want to just try reinstalling pro tools. I've searched for step by step instructions on how to do this properly, but all I've found are postings of people's issues trying to reinstall.
So, before I do something wrong I want to get some feedback on the necessary steps I need to go through to get a clean uninstall and reinstall. Is it as simple as add/remove programs to uninstall pro tools and then reinstall after a reboot? Do I have to trash the DAE preferences folder or do anything else? Also, what effect will this have on my plug ins -will I have to reinstall all of those? Hopefully, someone who has been through this recently can offer some advice. Greatly appreciated!
