Default PT and looping to MTC

I am syncing 3 computers in my setup, 2 Logic machines and Protools. For the longest time I am wondering why protools can't loop to MTC. Logic can!!
When I sync the 2 logic rigs via MTC and MMC they loop just like twins, but protools keeps running like an athlete that doesn't want to stop.

Digi, will this ever be implemented ? I know the new sync network tool is amazing but it works only from PT to PT.

Thanks!

Here's the explanation of behavior of MBC in Pro Tools:

MBC Looping

Pro Tools currently loops around MIDI Beat Clock (MBC) when playing in a loop. This feature is needed for instrument plug-ins with built-in sequencers or processing algorithms that rely on looped MBC messages for accurate operation, for example Synchronic. While most external devices should not have a problem with quick jumps of Song Position Pointer (SPP) messages, certain hardware sequencers will behave erratically at the loop point.

The exact MIDI event sequence at the loop point is as follows:
<Stop>
<Song Position Pointer> (pointing to the loop start location)
<Continue>

Other sequencer applications on the market today solve this problem by not looping MBC signals at all, i.e. even though the internal transport will play in a loop the MBC clock signal will continue “straight” and not contain SPP messages. Susceptible hardware sequencers will thus run without hiccups.

We are looking to introduce a preference that will allow users to switch between looped and unlooped MBC clock. Even though we’re well aware of the severity of this issue for some users we cannot discuss a release timeframe at this time. Thank you for your understanding and your continued support!

Note that he is talking about MTC not MBC.

PT doesn't loop MTC ever, never has.

Yeah, MTC loop is what I would need...

Ah - my mistake. I read 'midi' and 'looping' and jumped the gun a bit (it's was an extremely, uh, popular topic here for awhile).

Hi,
me too wants to have MTC looping, it would help me a lot when arranging...
Is it possible to compensate the delay of the latency compensation in MTC as well?
When working with two independent sequencers linked via MTC there comes a time when latency compensation can stand in your way, as both machines don't know of the other's latency compensation. Surely I can switch latency compensation off, but if both programs would calculate an offset into their MTC it would be easier...

Kind regards

Mark
