Default > Amp Farm does not pass audio

Had a strange problem today tracking. I setup 2 amp farm tracks to record guitar parts. One quit working, meters move but it would not pass audio. I removed the plugin and reinstaniated and it worked, but that quite again a few minutes later. I shutdown ProTools and restarted and all with fine for a couple hours. Different tune hours later and same problem occurred. . . although intermettient it seems the cause was having 2 tracks in record with Amp Farm, and one will just stop passing audio out of the blue.

Same kind of thing happening here.
Sometimes after openiing a session I will get 1 or 2 Amp Farms not working. Reinstantiating always works for me.
Other times one Amp Farm will go ballistic and distort like a Big Muff on steroids.....which should sound good but.....
Once again reinstantiate.
Amp Farm is just a bit flakey and old............hey it's vintage after all!

I have the same problem mentioned in an earlier thread here.
are you using Amp Farm 3 or Amp Farm 2?
I'm using Amp Farm 3 and run into the muting problem.
It seems one workaround is to stay away from the old presets from Amp Farm 2 that are in the Amp Farm 3 presets menu.
Not really a feasible idea if you're opening up old sessions with multiple instances of Amp Farm.

That's all I got for suggestions. I find myself reaching for the Sansamp PSA-1 and Amplitube more often because of the same problem.
