MTRX with new OS/PT

Haven't updated OS or AVID latest software and I'm using MTRX HW is anyone using latest OS and PT without any issues? I remember seeing major issues with MTRX and newer OS and PT.

Im working on macOS Big Sur 11.6.1 with ProTools 2021.10.0 & Dadman v5.5.0 without any problem.
I don't know about the latest OS Montery.

DADMan is supported with the latest Pro Tools release, 2021.10 and is supported on macOSX 10.10 - 10.15 & 11.x with Intel or M1 processor.

Hi,

just installed latest MTRX firmware and DADMan version, along with PT Ultimate 2021.10.

Can´t remember how to upgrade the MTRX Dante 64 Firmware (Brooklyn II) v4.0.9.1. Do I need to do it from Dante Controller?

It´s OK not to upgrade the Dante card´s firmware? I mean, I can´t find the release notes anywhere.

Go to DAD's site and you can download the Dante firmware update from their support portal.

You can create a free account to reach the download page.
For some Dante hardware, Dante controller is the way to do it. The MTRX/DAD don't appear in that updater however and you have to get the Dante Firmware Update Manager (current version 3.10.5.1)

The other thing, there hasn't been a Dante firmware update for the MTRX in a long, long time. So you are probably good. (But yes, you should keep the Dante and DADman/MTRX firmwares up-to-date to matching versions when doing hardware firmware updates). You can check the Dante firmware from the lower section of versions in DADman>Device List.

The current firmware is actually 1.0.2.1 (That's what you should see for firmware). v4.0.9.1 is the installation package -- not the firmware itself.

Thanks for the info. I updated the Dante Controller to the latest version and launching the Dante Updater which is installed along Dante Controller, showed that the MTRX Dante card (64 channels) was up to date on their update device list. All is working fine, but I´ll check the versions with your info.

PS (edit)Actually the Dante firmware file for the Brooklyn II card showed up on the downloads of our AVID account, alonside the MTRX firmware update, hence my doubt. There´s nothing on the MTRX manual that shows how to update the Dante firmware.

Correct, the MTRX firmware update is described in the manual, I´ve done it two or three times, is the Dante card firmware update procedure that is absent.
