I'm on Pro Tools 12.8.1 using a D-Command, and upon changing reels in this film I'm working on, I tried importing my custom faders from one reel to the next one. The tracks are the same, I did match tracks and they all matched up and then selected ICON Custom Fader Groups as the only info to import. The reel I'm importing into already has custom fader groups, and the ones I'm attempting to import are not replacing the existing ones that I have no desire to keep. How can I make Pro Tools overwrite my existing CF Groups with the ones I'm importing?

Did you try doing a Save As on the session that has the ones you want, deleting all tracks, then importing from the second session?
Have you done this in the past successfully? Sorry, I don't do this so I have no direct knowledge here. Just throwing out a suggestion. |

Thanks for the idea, I'll give that a shot on my next reel change, but I figured that the custom fader data would go away when the tracks do. And yes, I've actually done this successfully quite a few times, but I don't recall the sessions I was importing into in my prior successful attempts having existing custom faders.
