I am getting very annoyed
All I get all day Long is Thank you for using iLok.com! Your session has timed out. Log in again? I work in a studio with indusrty professionals What do you call your server cause it's NOT PRO! |

i purchased the Neyrinck Dolby plug on Sunday. in LESS THAN 5 minutes, there was an auth in my ilok account. i synchronized and all is well.
my experience has been different than yours. i am on a mAC 10.4.6, with FIREFOX.

I had problems after buying a 7.3 upgrade for an M-Powered system. Seemed like the DigiStore had problems communicating with iLok.com. It took a VERY LONG TIME for it to check my iLok account name and things got a little weird after that during the checkout process. After an hour and no asset deposited at iLok.com, I started calling Digi. Several phone calls later I was directed to CSAdmin who took care of the problem immediately. I then had an asset in minutes. BTW, the on hold time for CSA was over 1/2 hour. I think they've been pretty busy lately. There's a three minute intro explaining what's going on with 7.3 upgrades for recent purchasers of 7.2.

Hello. It's up right now if someone needs it. I did a quick synch just to check it and it went through, it took just a minute or two. Safari. Try it in case someone needs it.
It is ridiculous that we have to go through this at all. This has been my biggest problem with this whole idea from day one. We put all our eggs in one basket and if that basket has a hole, there is crashing ahead. Just imagine if some idiot wanted to mess with audio professionals all over the world and messed around with the website/server and brought it down. The same idiots who put viruses on the web to bring down Microsoft, etc. Anyway this idea that we are all prisoners to whatever mood PACE's server decides to be on that day is just not right. There has to be a better way. I agree with the idea that somehow Digidesign should step in in some way. After all we didn't ask to use PACE and/or iLok, they chose it for us. So the ball is kind of in their court. Maybe a server that Digidesign maintains, pays for, supervises, etc. Something that is separate from PACE's regular server and that is not subject to these issues. I admit PACE's server had been doing well for a while but these last couple of weeks the wheels have been falling off. It could get worse and that's really not an option in professional settings. Here's hoping something changes.
