Spectrasonic problem in Pro Tools 8

I too reinstall 10.5.5 and PT8 don't see Stylus RMX!!! In Logic 7.2.3 all work!

When you say re-install 10.5.5. did you do a fresh install of Leopard then combo updater to 10.5.5? this is the only way to revert back to 10.5.5. You can not simply install 10.5.5 over 10.5.6! just checking

Has rmx plugin in the plugs folder got the extension .dpm after it. it needs to be added manually to be seen in PT8. have done this and it is working fine so far.

FYI: I've only tried this in a G5 PPC. I used Fxpansion VST to RTAS Adapter 2.1-
I download the VST versions of Atmoshpere & Trilogy. I ran the adapter to create the RTAS shells. So far my client says it's working.

Which version do you have installed? You need 1.6.x.

Trilogy and Atmosphere are not compatible with Pro Tools 8 on Intel Macs. If you're on a PPC Mac, the latest versions should work if you put .dpm after the plug-in name, though this is NOT recommended or supported.

I have had that problem before when upgrading..... and only with spectrasonics plugs. The only thing that ended up working is to use a utility that will not only repair permissions, but also clear the cache.... system optimizer X used to do the trick... it is now called SOCKS. iI never was able to get an answer from Spectrasonics about it.... go the info from a great tech ...
