Default What is the best way to rip MP3s?

I have Protools HD 3 and TOAST 10 Platinum and don't see where to rip MP3 format?

Atzlan,

I've tried loadsa different ways and this little gem does it the best:

http://sbooth.org/Max/

It does all sorts of excellent file converting jobs as well (including to and from SDII format for instance). It's a little funky to first get your head around, but once you have it set up, it's the best sounding MP3 convertor I've tried. You can set the MP3 conversion quality to "Best" and a typical 3.5 min song clocks, in at about 5-8 meg. Just perfect to attach to a Hotmail email (ie: 10 meg limit).

I use Audiofinder, also useful for sample editing and a ton of other things.

Yes, looking for best quality. Djs now want Mp3, ugh! Old enough to still ove Vinyl!
