WOW......man a few hours ago, we were tracking my guitars on the 002.

Well, I'm just tightening up a kinda fast part ....when my cell phone rings. I had it on (no sound). HOLY CRAP! I got the living daylights shocked outta me!!! Every time it buzzed I got ZAPPED HARDER. It went straight thru my chest to my fingers. Man has this happened to anyone else? I never knew a Cell phone could do this. Man I swear my heart skipped two beats!!!!

Good thing that phone wasn't in your pocket!! First I've heard of this but I think I'm happy that you discovered it and not me. Glad you're still around to laugh about it.

When i was in school, we'd be having ensemble rehersals several times a week, and someone would invariably put a cell phone on or near an amp. I don't think anyone ever got electrocuted, but they would always make an awful noise through the amp, while in silent mode. This would happen all the time. I don't know why i still trust mine next to my head all the time.

i have never had that happen, and i use my cell phone in the studio all the time. i dont even get any noise from my speakers when i have it on

It was hangin' on my pocket with the phone clip! Maybe that's what did it, it was against my body. Be careful, it did not feel good. And I've been zapped on my lips on a stage mic and from other guitar players not cutting their strings and letting them dangle. But this really really hurt.
