Anyone got patch names?
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone out there has patch names for a Korg X3 and (or) a Roland JV-1010 sound module in XML? The Korg web site no longer shows any record of the X3 because it is too old, and The Roland site has the patch names listed in PDF. Thanks!

Re: Anyone got patch names?
This isn't xml
But OMS libs for more modern instruments that people uploaded. I believe there is a way to use these OMS libs and convert them to XML (not sure if digi includes a utility for this..or if it will "import" oms docs directly. If need be, open one of the extisting xml libs in a text editor and take a look at it. Pick something "close" to the type of intsrument your wanting to use. Take a look and see what needs to be done. ie..how do they represent bank changes..etc. You can use any text editor..type or copy in your patches and bank change info..then save it with a .midnam extension..and it should work. Here is the link to the uploaded OMS files. http://www.visionsj.com/oms/names.html give it a shot and see. |

In the Acrobat Reader, look for the tool with a "T and a dotted rectangle". Highlight the text you need, copy, paste. Mind you, some PDFs don't seem to offer this facility. Perhaps for copyright reasons? However the Roland ones seem ok. Phil

Re: Anyone got patch names?
Raleigh,
I have the patch names for the X2 that I had to make from scratch. It's the same as the one for the X3 + 1 patch. I can get it to you in jus abou tany format except xml; let me know if you want it. EjA |
