Default Might be a silly question.

Question.

Is anybody using PA Management (ie...dbx drive racks,Sabine Navigator 360) boxes of any kind with any of the Venue series. If so what are some good choices?

I use the Soundweb London BLU 16. It it pretty flexible, and has quite a bit of DSP. It has 16 channels and you can configure the inputs/outputs in groups of 4. I have mine as 4 in/12 out. I have 2 of them and it takes care of my entire system. There are other models, some with more DSP, some with cobranet, and the in/outs can be analog or digital. The initial setup is pretty nice and flexible, all done with their program, you just drag what you want on to the screen ie: parametric, delay, crossover, and draw lines on how you want it routed. It also has logic that allows you to have simple buttons, volume, on/offs, and so much more. They also have a series of button stations for the system that allows you to recall settings.

I tour with a Driverack 4800. Since my rig (sc48) requires me to use all my analog outputs to feed hearback systems, wedges and IEM's...I run AES into the driverack and use that for PA control. sometimes its as simple as feeding 4 feeds to the house for zones...other times ive had to use it as a complete system control. handling..crossovers, DSP and distribution. It truly has become one of my most trusted pieces of gear i tour with. since i dont carry my own PA...every house i go to could be good...could be bad...you never know. my driverack has never let me down. its a great "partner in crime" to my venue.
