I don't get sound from i-tunes either( I get sounds thru computer but not monitor speakers) everything used to work- I can see my songs playing in pro tools - I have updated to mac 10.5.6, I have updated newest drivers for m-audio and profire- it says my hard drive for mac needs repair, buteverything else works -could that be the problem? should I check if my firewire ports are burned out from hot plugging if so how -any other ideas? I have spent 42 hours troubleshooting -dire desperation has set in -versions; pro tools 8.0.1 mac 10.5.6 profire1.2.1,firewire1.3.2-compatible?-HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How are you attempting to get sound through the Profire? Through firewire? Line out from your Mac? Is anything showing up in the Profire's DSP Mixer software? What have you already done during your 42 hours of troubleshooting? More information is needed.

On second look, the latest software version for the Profire2626 is 2.2.4. Update your software and try again, then check back in here.
