Operational questions....
1) Is it possible to MERGE two projects together without doing a BOUNCE? ie: one studio does Dial, one studio does SFX, one studio does Music, then MERGE them for final Mix? I can't do a bounce for a) quick possible changes in editing b)separate different sounds to different bus/output for "splits" c) need the final EDL txt file. 2) What's the fastest way to import a WHOLE CD into the hard disk? I'm building an "on-line" SFX library by importing the SFX CDs to the HD, hopefully in SDII format. At the moment, I can only import CDs one track at a time via IMPORT AUDIO FROM QT MOVIE, this also mess up with the track names too. Is there a way to do the whole CD at once? Third party software? Thanks Simon |

Re: Operational questions....
1) Check out TrackTransfer in the Pro Tools' utility folder.
2) Try Toast CD Extractor Rail ------------------ Recording Engineer

Re: Operational questions....
I use soundjam to convert audio to aiff onto my hd and then import and convert to 24 bits in tools. Maybe too many steps but it works for me(I'm not converting a lot of cd's at any one time)
