002R causes computer to restart automatically

Can anyone help with this issue???

When I open PT and click a session to open or start a new session, it causes my computer to restart. It will just cut off and retart automatically. I don't know what's causing this problem. It just started a few days ago. Now, I have XP so my computer updates automatically. Is there an update through windows that could be conflicting with PT? It actually started doing this after the last update a few days ago, so is there anything inparticular that I should look for or any updates through Digidesign that could fix??

You're not giving us enough information.
What is your PC configuration?
What processor?
What motherboard?
What version of Protools?

If it is 6.4, make sure you have loaded the latest cs update, 6.4cs9
