Default Mellowmuse ATA and solo function

Is there something I'm missing? I recently started using the ATA...it seems that to solo a track you have to solo the subgroup as well, mucks up the workflow a bit...

If I understand you correctly, this has nothing to do with ATA and is simply that you forgot(or didn't know) about solo safe. When you have tracks assigned to subgroups, if you solo-safe the tracks, you can solo all by hitting solo on the subgroup. Ctrl-click on the track solo buttons and they will be grey'd out.

No, I don't want to solo all, that defeats the point of "solo"...maybe I've set this up wrong. I have all my audio track outputs to bus 15-16, an aux w/ bus 15-16 as an input (going out to analog 1-2). ...my reverbs and delays are going out to 17-18, and I have an aux fed from 17-18 going out to analog 1-2....ATAs across the top: audio, aux 1 and master.

If I want to solo the guitar I have to hit solo on the guitar channel as well as solo on the bus 15-16 aux channel.

albee1952 is dead on here... ctrl-click the solo button on the aux track. That makes that track "solo safe". Then when you solo the guitar, the aux will not "solo mute" like all of the other tracks.

I'll always be a student of this myself no matter how long I spend with it. Always something new to learn.
