Default clipping lights red - normal?

Hi - is it normal for the "clipping lights" to be red on these two audio channels? I just created them, connected paired Rode condenser mics, and the lights immediately came on red. Screenshot attached.

Thanks!

no.

But you could have peaked the input meters when you plugged the mics in.
If you clear the clip lights, do they return?

If they do, you have a problem with your audio interface.

If you had the channels assigned to the mics, plugged in the mics and turned on phantom power, then yes, the tracks will probably clip.
