Default PT 7.3.1 major crash!!!

Hi guys,

just been running a session in the latest PT (7.3.1), and my powerbook g4 just crashed with a kernal panic reported.

Ever since installing it this morning I've had it quit, and just a moment ago crash my laptop.

I've saved the apple reports, so please tell me where I should send them so you guys can help me sort this big problem.

Everything worked fine on 7.3cs1 except for some graphic issues showing 'PNG' graphics when opening a saved session, although I have spoken to Fxpansion about this as it seemed to occur with BFD inserted.

Please help!

Cheers

Ashley

Have you followed all the steps in the General Troubleshooting thread? Trashed prefs, databases, etc... Repaired permissions? Are ALL your plug in's certified with 7.3?

I ran a session yesterday on 7.3.1 and all was fine.

Did that and all was fine.

Now I've got an error saying I can't save a session:

"Could not save "blah blah" because (-50) while moving "wierd random letters and numbers" to "blah blah.prf".

Please help

I'm also getting something similar since upgrading to 7.3 (and continuing into 7.3.1) If I trash all my prefs before I open a session, I'm able to save the session while I'm working... but when I close the session I get a similar message... and if I quit PT it bombs the G5.

Everything worked perfect in 7.1.1.

I moved some sessions to another HD and now they work, so guess I'll have to move all my other stuff to that other HD then reformat.

Unless anyone wants to chime in with a cause for this happening?
