Midi Patch name problem
I am having a weird problem with one of my older synths - an Emu Proteus/1 synth.
For some reason, when I go to select a patch name in the edit window and click on the patch number, I get this message: "MIDIServer patch file, bank or mode information not available for this MIDI instrument." I hit OK and the same message comes up again. When I go to change the .midnam file that it's looking for, I get the same message again. I've tried using backup midnam files as well as ones from MOTU - same thing. I've checked in the Device list and the name in there matches the name on the midnam list, so it should work. Any clues? This is the only one of my synths where it doesn't work. It works fine on an ancient Ensoniq ESQ-M and an ADA MP1, but not this. Also, if anyone has a .midnam file for a Yamaha SPX90, that would be great. thanks.
