It's on my laptop and a video server but not yet on the PT machine. Those other Macs are running fine. From the release notes it's largely a security update with a few minor bug fixes. I'd be highly surprised if anything in PT gets disrupted. I'll likely install it tomorrow.

I put it on my laptop which has Pro tools and it seems ok. I haven't put it on my main machine yet though.

I am already running Sequoia beta on M1 (together with 14.6 on M2) and all I can say it is getting smoother all the time. I have no knowledge whether it is Avid or Apple who is cleaning the code (or both) but stability seems to be improving.

Agreed. Sequoia is subtly different but definitely a bit smoother/faster than Sonoma. I also wondered if they're beginning to hone the code, exorcising some older (unnecessary) bits.

I am about to install 14.6.1.

Any objections?

Not from me. The .1 update was largely centered around fixing the enabling/disabling of certain data protections. So it's a bug fix and *should* be even more stable than the previous version. I can't see this bug fix affecting ProTools.

Cool!

I still had 14.5 so I had to go straight to 14.6.1, was kinda late to the 14.6 party

Feels solid like 14.5, pretty good

Just go for it. And once Sequoia is released it is also safe to install on day one. I am running beta (24A5320a) here and very smooth sailing.

There will be some new hardware considerations when it comes to Sequoia as the architecture of certain drivers is changing. I've not tested it personally, because my hardware isn't affected, but some might need to walk into Sequoia cautiously. More details to come.
