DADman Often Disconnects with MTRX Studio
Hello, my studio has recently developed an issue where DADman often flashes a blue "disconnected" warning when using Dante or PT with a MTRX Studio. After a couple to a few minutes, it'll show green "Locked" again, only to become blue "disconnected" again.
This has never happened before. The only things I can remember updating before this issue came about is update PT Ultimate and HD Driver from 2024.3.1 to 2024.6, and updating MACos from 13.6.6 to 13.6.7. Eucon devices, ethernet network setup, etc have not changed. Any ideas or suggestion as to why this could have started happening? DADman: 5.7.01 MTRX Studio: 1.1.3.1 DVS: 4.4.1.3 Controller: 4.13.0.4 |

Re: DADman Often Disconnects with MTRX Studio
A few suggestions you can try.
(A) Try and only have MTRX Family Devices and Dante audio devices on your MTRX subnet. (B) Isolate any WAN/LAN/IOT devices to a separate network.Try to avoid having EUCON and Dante/MTRX on the same network. (C) Make sure none of the subnets from all of your networks overlap. (D) Try not to use Wifi if possible. (E) Disable Avid Audio Server if you don't use it. It's the Coreaudio component of the HD Driver which is enabled and installed when you load the HD Drivers. (F) Either use a router or assign manual IP addresses for the devices on your MTRX / Dante network. Don't use self-assigned addressing. best, Jeff |

Re: DADman Often Disconnects with MTRX Studio
Thank you for the suggestions.
The MTRX and DVS are already on their own ethernet network with no other devices, but I switched from self-assigned to manual IPs for the network and devices, hopefully this helps with the dropouts. Unfortunately I use AAS with Dolby Aux I/O and wifi for the Avid Control. |

Re: DADman Often Disconnects with MTRX Studio
Avid Control wired (ex USB-C dock) will be more stable and have better meter performance. If you need the wireless aspect of it (walking around the studio or Atmos panning from a producer couch) then add a simple router that bridges wired and wireless clients then disable the wifi. Your system will most assuredly be more stable.
